Carson National Forest
The Carson National Forest which surrounds Red River is 1.5 million acres of mountain playground. Elevations range from 6,000 feet to 13,161 on Wheeler Peak (New Mexico's highest point). Activities include fishing, hunting, camping, hiking, camping, skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling.
