Our Lodge

Arrowhead Lodge is located at the base of the main ski area in Red River, New Mexico.  We are at an elevation of 8,750 ft., in the Sangre de Cristo range, of the Southern Rockies.  There are over 16 restaurants in Red River.  In the winter, we have fabulous skiing, cross-country, snowmobiling, etc.  In summer, there are jeeping, horseback riding, surrey bikes, ATV rentals, go-carts, Pepe the bucking bull, hiking, trail bike riding, and much more.  You can even race lawn mowers.

Some of the attractions you can experience on a morning or afternoon excursion, are Wild Rivers, the John Dunn Bridge, Taos, and the Rio Grande Bridge.

Red River is an excellent base for day trips, if you can make yourself go.  White Sands  is a couple of hours away.   Latir Lakes and Rio Castillo are nearby destinations for the hiker or the “drive right up to it” adventurer.  The Valle Vidal is a great place for trout fishing, bird watching, and catching sight of the largest elk herd in New Mexico.

The Arrowhead Lodge has 19 rooms ranging from a hotel room with a queen bed, to a two story townhouse with 3 bed rooms.  12 of our units have fully equipped kitchens.  The others have microwaves, coffee pots, and small refrigerators.   5 of the hotel rooms may be combined with a kitchen unit to make a unit with 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, and either 3 or 4 queen size beds.

Arrowhead’s  rooms are all non-smoking, though you may smoke on the covered porch or at the picnic tables along Pioneer Creek.  There are charcoal grills by the picnic tables. We are planning on adding another fire pit, in addition to the one we currently have,  soon.  You may park at your door, as all units, but the townhouse, are on the ground floor.

Arrowhead Lodge’s Direct TV has around 150 channels including 6 ESPNs.  Our proximity to the ski slopes, the Playhouse, restaurants, and shopping make Arrowhead a true destination.
